Day 1: Depart Johannesburg and transverse the Waterberg Mountains, heading
for Botsana and the Khama Rhio Sancuary. Set up camp and get to know each
other around the campfire. BLD
Day 2: Today is a day spent in the Khama Rhio Sancuary on game drives in
your open land rover in search of the animals found here. The last 23 Rhono
in Botswana have their home here, and you are sure to enjoy the opportunity
of gettin up close and personal with them. BLD
Day 3: Makgadigadi Salt Pans. Venture onto the pans and head for an area of
mystery and great beauty. Kubu Island. A breath taking destination. The
sunset of Baobab Trees will remain with you for a long time. This is a
significant place, an old place, a temple of San Tribes gone by. BLD
Day 4: Depart at dawn and make your way to an isolated Wildlife Sanctuary.
Day 5: The Caentral Kalahari Game Reserve is one of the largest conservation
Day 6: areas in Afaricxa. It is an uninhabited desert of red sand and
incredible wildlife. Game drives in the twilight hours are done to the
natural pans and ancient dry river beds, hoping to find endemic black maned
lion prides, brown hyena and the many raptor species found here. Midday is
spent beneath gian camelhorn trees to escape the searing desert heat and late
afternoon again searching the pans. BLD
Day 7: Exit the park and continue to Maun, the safria captial of Botswana.
Enjoy fixed accommodations, hot showers and a restaurant meal on the bnaks of
the Thamalakane River. BL
Day 8: Depart for the Moremi Game Reserve and the Garden of Eden in Africa:
Day 9: The Okavango Delta. Explore the sanctuary in open land rovers and
Day 10: mokoros, being at one with nature. Spend time seeking out the
Day 11: prides of lion, elusive leopard and the endangered wild dog.
Birding is fantastic with over 400 species endemic to the region. BLD
Day 12: The Savuti Marsh. Zebra migrations and old bull elephants,
Day 13: fearless lion prides and territorial hyena clans. Explore the marsh
in the twilight hours, certain to come upon the residents of the wild. The
nights are spent close to the fires, yellow eyes surround the camp. Things
do not get any better. BLD
Day 14: Chobe & the Chobe Safari Lodge. Enjoy an afternoon around the pool
and bar. An optional sunset boat excurions on the river. BLD
Day 15: Victoria Falls in Zambia. First the border crossing and then a
short drive to the bustling town of Livingstone. Fixed accommodations while
in Zambia. B
Day 16: Free day. Today is yours to raft, fly, jump, or sightsee. A visit
to the curio market and rainforest or an elephant back ride is a wonderful
experience. B
Day 17: After breakfast begin the drive back. Lunch is spent at an oasis in
the Makgadigagi Saltpans. Explore the pans in the afternoon in search of
flamingo and pelican. Camp the night for the last time in Francistown. B
Day 18: Return to Johannesburg and drop off at either the Big Sky Guest
Lodge in the late afternoon or Johannesburg Airport.
